Maternity Nurse Fees

Days | Nights | Live-in

No Agency Fees or  Pension or Employer National Insurance Contributions

My fees are dependant on location and the type of booking. Maternity Nurses operate as self-employed professionals, shouldering the responsibility of managing their own finances.

From taxes, national insurance, indemnity insurance, pension, advertising, continuous professional development, updating paediatric first aid, enhanced DBS police check costs, travelling expenses, travel insurance, accountants, and uniform costs to name a few. We navigate a complex financial landscape. Our expenditure for providing this luxury does not permit us to fully reclaim all associated expenses upon filing our tax return.

Booking a Maternity Nurse directly rather than through an agency offers significant cost savings.

Agencies typically charge registration fees ranging from £50 to £100, in addition to daily rates ranging from £20 to £100 per day for each booked day, with an additional 20% VAT applied to the total fee. For a six-month booking requiring 24-hour care, six days a week, the agency fees could amount to £18,900, a considerable expense for the services provided.

Complimentary Remote Support

After the conclusion of the booking, all clients will enjoy complimentary remote support. The duration of this assistance will be contingent upon the length and nature of the booking.

How to Book & Enquire About My Availability

Please complete the enquiry form, providing as much information as possible, particularly dates, location, and the type of support required. All enquiries are treated in confidence. Due to high demand, all initial discussions are offered as a paid professional consultation. Any telephone, video, or WhatsApp discussion regarding availability, suitability, care planning, or maternal and infant needs constitutes a professional consultation (£35 / 45 minutes). This fee is deductible from the final contract fee should you proceed to a confirmed booking.

Following the consultation, and where we are mutually aligned on suitability, availability, and requirements, you may confirm if you wish to proceed. A Fee Policy, booking contract, and invoice will then be issued. Bookings under eight weeks are payable in full in advance, and international travel costs, once paid, are non-refundable. Once the contract is signed and payment received, your booking is formally secured and my availability reserved exclusively for you. If I am unavailable, I may be able to recommend a colleague via the NNEB OC Paragon Maternity Network.
